Tonya Comer has been named one of the Top 20 African American Interior Designers in the United States by the Black Interior Designers Network. She is principal of the boutique interior design firm, Tonya Comer Interiors. Her award-winning product designs have sold around the globe. She has also won awards for the roles she’s served as a community and business thought leader. As a global transformational leader, she serves as a speaker and workshop presenter helping people design their lives.

In her revealing book, In High Heels on a Ladder: The 7 Power Tools for Designing Your Life, Tonya shares the story of her path to healing, invites us on our own “journey to wholeness,” and explains how to use her practical actionable tools for personal transformation. Through her wise, sisterly guidance, she inspires us to be all that we can be by owning our truth, claiming our authentic power, and falling in love with ourselves. And if we feel emboldened by our transformation, Tonya Comer invites us to join her in a mission to redesign the world.

She holds an MBA from Michigan State University’s Eli Broad Graduate School of Management and a BA from Duquesne University, and she studied interior design at London Metropolitan University. Tonya formerly worked in broadcasting and served many roles in corporate America.

When asked as a seven-year-old what she wanted to be when she grew up, Tonya said, “I want to spread love around the world.” Today, she spreads her message of love as an author, speaker, and LIFEdesign coach dedicated to helping women find the path from shame and self-doubt to self-love and wholeness. And when she isn’t doing all of that, Tonya Comer is an adventure-seeking, rollercoaster-loving, jump-out-of-a-plane-first spirit who lives life out loud.
